🍍 Mai Tai by Garret Richard
Less boozy, more complex, high brow Mai Tai
This recipe was made by Garret Richard. And I found it on The Educated Barfly. When looking for a new Mai Tai recipe for making and sharing this summer.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Chairman's Reserve Saint Lucia Rum
- 3/4 oz Coruba Dark Jamaican Rum -> Myers's Original Dark Jamaican Rum
- 1 teaspoon Grand Marnier
- 1 teaspoon Clement Creole Shrubb -> Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao
- 1 oz acid adjusted pineapple juice
- 5/8 oz orgeat
- 5 drops saline solution
- Garnish: mint sprig, pineapple wedge
Instructions
- Shake all ingredients with ice
- Open pour into a double rocks glass
- Add pebble ice to the top, not heaping, no snow cone top for Garret's drinks
- Garnish with a mint sprig and pineapple wedge
