Rye, cognac, sweet vermouth, Bénédictine, and bitters
For a little history about this drink...
Ingredients
- 3/4 oz rye whiskey
- 3/4 oz cognac
- 3/4 oz sweet vermouth
- 2 barspoons Bénédictine
- 4 dashes Dale DeGroff's Pimento Bitters
- Garnish: cherry or lemon twist
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice
- Stir until chilled
- Strain into a chilled Old Fashioned glass with a large ice cube
- Garnish with a cherry, expressed lemon twist, or both
