Ingredients

• 1 1/2 oz white rum
• 1 oz acid adjusted pineapple juice
• 1 oz Midori
• Garnish with grocery store bright red maraschino cherry

Instructions

• Add all ingredients in a shaker with ice
• Shake until chilled
• Strain into a rocks glass with ice
• Garnish with a bright red maraschino cherry

Personal Context

This drink started with the name, a cocktail for Drew's birthday party, and worked backwards. The bright cherry ivokes the same loud red in the mountain dew logo.

I oringinally made this for a friend's birthday but the day of while trying to come up with a name for it that was a pun on his name, I came up with Mountain Drew and I knew I had to make that instead.
